The Sunshine Coast is an 86 km long peninsula located on the of the west coast of B.C., Canada.

HOW TO GET TO THE SUNSHINE COAST

BY VEHICLE        BY BUS     BY AIR    BY WATER TAXI     BY BIKE

Check out www.bcferries.com   for a complete schedule. The ferry ride offers spectacular scenery and takes only 40 minutes.

You pay only one way - your ferry ticket is round trip

Note: traffic can be heavy in the summer - call aferry.jpg (1840 bytes)head or visit th ferries website to check updated sailing times or waits

 If you are coming  from the United States
or are coming from within the province of BC, just stay on Highway 1 (the Trans Canada Highway) and follow it to Horseshoe Bay.  Follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Just before the terminal the highway branches north
(turns right) towards Whistler/Squamish (the Sea to Sky Highway). Stay left for the ferry toll booths (far right hand lane for the Langdale/Sunshine Coast toll booths).

The ferries leave Horseshoe Bay every two hours starting at 7:20 am, and ending at 9:15 p.m.

BY BUS

Malaspina Coach Lines offers service from Vancouver to Gibsons,
Sechelt, Pender Harbour and Powell River. Buses leave from the Pacific Central Station
bus terminal ( the corner of Terminal and Main in Vancouver). You can also
board at the corner of Burrard Street and Georgia Street (in downtown Vancouver)
or at the north end of Lions Gate Bridge. Buses drive onto the ferry at the
Horseshoe Bay terminal. Call for details:

Starting from Vancouver B.C. - Follow Highway 1 (the TransCanada Highway)  to Horseshoe Bay. 

Follow the signs to the ferry terminal.

Just before the terminal the highway branches north

from 5:45 am to 9:40 p.m. Once off the ferry :
